HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the State of Illinois are pleased to commend organizations in the State that work to benefit others; and

WHEREAS, New Life Car Care is a ministry based at New Life Tabernacle in Sullivan that repairs cars for those in need free of charge; beneficiaries of the ministry are asked to pay for the necessary parts for the repairs if possible; the ministry's services are primarily for single mothers and the elderly, but are only limited to people in need of help; and

WHEREAS, In 2003, New Life Car Care spent close to $1,500 helping people; in addition to repairs, the ministry received two donated cars, which were then given to those that needed them, and the ministry assisted with the title transfers as well; and

WHEREAS, New Life Car Care benefits people in Sullivan, Mattoon, Charleston, and Westfield, and continues to grow each year; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we commend New Life Car Care for the charitable assistance the group provides to people in need; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to New Life Car Care as an expression of our sincere gratitude for the generosity of the New Life Car Care program.
