HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the State of Illinois are pleased to recognize milestone events in the State of Illinois; and

WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that on Thursday, August 5, 2004 the Mt. Auburn Fire Department will be honored for its 50th anniversary; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Mt. Auburn Fire Department showed great bravery in offering assistance following the explosion at the Formosa plant in Illiopolis; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Mt. Auburn Fire Department go above and beyond the call of duty, risking their lives to assist the citizens of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we honor the Mt. Auburn Fire Department on the occasion of its 50th anniversary, and we thank the members of the department, past and present, for their many years of dedicated service to the safety of the citizens of this State; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Mt. Auburn Fire Department as an expression of our deep gratitude for their devotion to the protection of others.
