HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, Jerry Mack, Sr. of Chicago recently passed away;
3 and
 
4     WHEREAS, He was born on November 16, 1919, in Yazoo City,
5 Mississippi, to the late John and Pearl Mack; he received his
6 education in the public school system in Yazoo City; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Before moving to Chicago, he married Margaret
8 Willis; he joined the Army in 1942 and faithfully served his
9 country in World War II; after the war, he and Margaret moved
10 to Chicago and they had three children; Margaret preceded him
11 in death after 25 years of marriage; a devoted and dedicated
12 father, he then raised all three children alone; and
 
13     WHEREAS, He was a faithful member of the New Covenant
14 Missionary Baptist Church; and
 
15     WHEREAS, He retired after a total of 40 years of service at
16 Alcoa and Central Diecasting; and
 
17     WHEREAS, The passing of Jerry Mack, Sr. will be deeply felt
18 by many, especially his daughters, Patricia Mack and Margaret
19 Mack; his son, Jerry L. Mack, Jr.; his grandchildren, George
20 Mack and Kenton Dial; his great-grandchild, Eboni Mack; and
21 many relatives and friends; therefore, be it
 
22     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
23 NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
24 mourn the death of Jerry Mack, Sr. along with all who knew and
25 loved him and we extend our sincere condolences to his family
26 and friends during their time of bereavement; and be it further
 
27     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
28 presented to his family as an expression of our deepest
