 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members of the House of  Representatives  of
 3    the State of Illinois wish to congratulate Paul Jacobowski as
 4    he  retires  from  his  position  as  a board member with the
 5    Orland School District 135 Board  of  Education  after  eight
 6    years of service; and

 7        WHEREAS,  Paul  Jacobowski  was  elected  to the board on
 8    November 7, 1995; he served as Board President in  1999-2000;
 9    during  his  eight  years  on  the  board  he has chaired the
10    Finance,  Policy,  and  Ethics  committees,  served  on   the
11    Building  and  Education  committees,  and was District 135's
12    representative  to  the  State  and  national  school   board
13    associations; and

14        WHEREAS,  Through  the  leadership  of  Paul  Jacobowski,
15    District  135  has  seen  many notable goals attained such as
16    planning and constructing two new schools and remodeling  all
17    of  the  district facilities; he has been instrumental in the
18    development of a long-range plan for student achievement; and

19        WHEREAS, Paul Jacobowski is  married  to  Nancy  and  has
20    three children, Natalie, Amanda, and Mark; and

21        WHEREAS,  The  Board of Education, administrators, staff,
22    and parents of District 135  will honor Paul Jacobowski at  a
23    meeting to be held on April 7, 2003; therefore, be it

24        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
25    NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS,  that
26    we  congratulate  Paul  Jacobowski on his retirement from the
27    Orland School District 135 Board of Education  and  wish  him
28    good health and happiness in all of his future endeavors; and
29    be it further

30        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
31    presented to Paul Jacobowski as an expression of our  respect
