 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS,  The  dictatorship  of  Iraq  has  continued  to
 3    develop weapons of mass destruction in  violation  of  United
 4    Nations Security Council Resolution 1441; and

 5        WHEREAS,  The  dictator  of  Iraq,  Saddam  Hussein,  has
 6    demonstrated a willingness to use weapons of mass destruction
 7    against neighboring nations and the citizens of Iraq; and

 8        WHEREAS, Saddam Hussein threatens the Middle East and the
 9    global  economy  with  the  threat  to  use  weapons  of mass
10    destruction; therefore be it

11        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES   OF   THE
12    NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
13    we express our support for  President  George  W.  Bush,  the
14    President's  Cabinet,  and  the  men  and women of the United
15    States Armed Forces for their courage and decision to  remove
16    Saddam Hussein from power; and be it further

17        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
18    presented to President George W. Bush as an expression of our
19    support.
