 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members of the House of  Representatives  of
 3    the  State of Illinois were saddened to learn of the death of
 4    Wilbert Knight on Friday, January 24, 2003; and

 5        WHEREAS, Mr. Knight was born June 25, 1952  and  was  the
 6    son  of Robert and Carrie Johnson; he attended grammar school
 7    at Benjamin Banneker and he  graduated  from  Francis  Parker
 8    High School in 1970; and

 9        WHEREAS,  Mr. Knight was a skilled carpenter; he received
10    his training from Job Corp. in  1979;  he  was  a  member  of
11    Sunrise Baptist Church; and

12        WHEREAS,  The  passing of Mr. Knight has been deeply felt
13    by many, especially his mother, Carrie;  his  five  children,
14    Terrell,   Chikira,  Robert,  Carrie,  and  Joshua;  his  six
15    sisters, Faye, Yvette, Denise, Joyce, Janice,  and  Ula  Mae;
16    and his two brothers, John and Floyd; therefore, be it

17        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
18    NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS,  that
19    we  mourn the passing of Wilbert Knight and offer our deepest
20    sympathy to his family and friends; and be it further

21        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
22    presented  to the family of Wilbert Knight with our sincerest
23    condolences.
