 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS,  The  Carlyle  Rotary  Club  observed  its  75th
 3    anniversary of service to the Carlyle area, the  nation,  and
 4    the world on May 18, 2003; and

 5        WHEREAS,  Carlyle  Rotary is a chapter of Rotary District
 6    6510 and of Rotary International; it is  an  organization  of
 7    some  1.2  million  business  and  professional men and women
 8    united worldwide; the Rotary provides  humanitarian  service,
 9    encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps
10    build goodwill and peace in the world; and

11        WHEREAS,  Rotary  was  only 22 years old when the Carlyle
12    Club  joined  the  worldwide  organization  of  business  and
13    professional persons; the Carlyle Club was number 3303 in the
14    long lineage of Rotary and was sponsored by Flora; and

15        WHEREAS, The original members  of  Rotary  Club  included
16    Paul  Harris,  Sylvester  Schille,  Gustav  Loehr,  and Hiram
17    Shorey; the  current  president  of  Carlyle  Rotary  is  Hal
18    Meisenheimer   and   the   president-elect   is  Dan  Imming;
19    therefore, be it

20        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES   OF   THE
21    NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
22    we congratulate the Carlyle Rotary Club  on  celebrating  its
23    75th  anniversary  of  dedicated  service  to  the  people of
24    Carlyle and Clinton Counties; and be it further

25        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
26    presented  to  the  president  of  the  Carlyle  Rotary,  Hal
27    Meisenheimer, as an expression of our respect and esteem.
