 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS,  The  members  of  this  Body  are  honored   to
 3    recognize  significant  milestones in the lives of the people
 4    of this State; and

 5        WHEREAS, It has come  to  our  attention  that  Ms.  Leta
 6    Plocher of Highland recently celebrated the 100th anniversary
 7    of her birth; and

 8        WHEREAS,  Ms. Plocher was born September 19, 1903; she is
 9    the oldest of 5 children who grew up on a farm 6.5 miles east
10    of Highland; she married Orville Plocher in 1923; Mr. Plocher
11    passed away in 1998; and

12        WHEREAS, Mrs. Plocher is the proud mother of 4  children;
13    her  three  daughters are Jaunita Flamm, Janice Johns, and Jo
14    Miller; her son is O. John Plocher; and

15        WHEREAS,  Mrs.  Plocher  remains   very   active   as   a
16    centenarian;  she  credits  her  long life and good health to
17    staying away from alcoholic  beverages  and  keeping  a  busy
18    schedule;  she  reads,  works  crossword puzzles, makes small
19    quilts, plays bingo twice a week, and attends Bible study and
20    Sunday evening worship at Highland  Home;  she  continues  to
21    feed  her  love of flowers by maintaining both a window ledge
22    garden and an outdoor flower patch; therefore, be it

23        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES   OF   THE
24    NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
25    we congratulate Ms. Leta Plocher on attaining a milestone  in
26    her  life  with  her  100th  birthday,  and  we extend to Ms.
27    Plocher our sincere best wishes for the  future;  and  be  it
28    further

29        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
30    presented to Ms. Leta Plocher as an expression of our respect
31    and esteem.
