 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS,  The  members   of   the   Illinois   House   of
 3    Representatives  would like to congratulate Mary Lou Chapa of
 4    Aurora celebrating her birthday on February 25, 2003; and

 5        WHEREAS, Mary Lou Chapa has been married to Benito  Chapa
 6    for  45  years and has four children, Linda, Fernando, Benito
 7    Jr.,  and  the  late  Esmeralda;  she  is  also   the   proud
 8    grandmother   of  six  grandchildren,  Veronica,  Jacqueline,
 9    Christopher, Adalee, Fernando Marcel, and Lauryn; and

10        WHEREAS, Mrs. Chapa  is  the  first  female  Hispanic  to
11    become a realtor in Aurora; she is the owner and president of
12    Chapa Realty and has been with the realty firm since 1970 and
13    in  the  real estate industry since 1967; she is on the board
14    of directors for Mutual Grounds and Harris  Bank  of  Aurora,
15    N.A.; therefore, be it

16        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
17    NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS,  that
18    we  wish  Mary  Lou  Chapa  a  happy birthday, and health and
19    happiness in all of her future endeavors; and be it further

20        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
21    presented to Mary Lou Chapa.
