HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate James Buck as he retires after 37 years of service with the Moline Fire Department; and

WHEREAS, James G. Buck began his career with the Moline Fire Department on April 15, 1967; he became an EMT in 1973; in 1976, he was promoted to engineer; he received certification of Fire Fighter II in December of 1979 and of Fire Fighter III in July of 1984; Mr. Buck was promoted to lieutenant on May 1, 1994; he retired from the department on May 15, 2004; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Buck has always been active in his local community, attended conventions as a delegate, and frequently added a helping hand in his community; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate James Buck as he retires after 37 years of service with the Moline Fire Department, and we thank him for his faithful service to his community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to James Buck as an expression of our sincere respect and gratitude for his many years of service to his community.
