 1        AN ACT concerning constitutional officers.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5. The State Finance Act  is  amended  by  adding
 5    Section 33.5 as follows:

 6        (30 ILCS 105/33.5 new)
 7        Sec.  33.5.  Former constitutional officers; security. No
 8    State moneys shall be expended for the purpose of providing a
 9    security detail or any other personal police  protection  for
10    persons  who formerly were, but no longer are, constitutional
11    officers of the  executive  branch  of  State  government  as
12    listed   in   Section   1   of  Article  V  of  the  Illinois
13    Constitution.

14        Section 99. Effective date. This Act  takes  effect  upon
15    becoming law.
