 1        AN ACT making appropriations and reappropriations.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.  The  sum of $207,634,800, or so much thereof
 5    as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
 6    Fund to the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University
 7    for any expenditures or purposes authorized by law, including
 8    payment to the University for personal services  and  related
 9    costs incurred.

10        Section  10.  The  sum of $31,796,200, or so much thereof
11    as may be  necessary,  is  appropriated  from  the  Education
12    Assistance Fund to the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois
13    University  for  any  expenditures  or purposes authorized by
14    law,  including  payment  to  the  University  for   personal
15    services and related costs incurred.

16        Section  15.  The  sum of $250,000, or so much thereof as
17    may be necessary, is appropriated from  the  General  Revenue
18    Fund to the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University
19    for  all costs required to match the Federal Title II Teacher
20    Quality  Enhancement  State  Grant  for   Southern   Illinois
21    University at Carbondale, including payment to the University
22    for personal services and related costs incurred.

23        Section  20.  The  sum of $250,000, or so much thereof as
24    may be necessary, is appropriated from  the  General  Revenue
25    Fund to the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University
26    for  all costs required to match the Federal Title II Teacher
27    Quality  Enhancement  State  Grant  for   Southern   Illinois
28    University   at   Edwardsville,   including  payment  to  the
29    University for personal services and related costs incurred.

 1        Section 25.  The amount of $800,000, or so  much  thereof
 2    as  may  be  necessary and remains unexpended at the close of
 3    business on June 30, 2003, from a reappropriation  heretofore
 4    made  for such purpose in Article 1, Section 22 of Public Act
 5    92-717, is reappropriated  to  Southern  Illinois  University
 6    from  the  Capital  Development Fund for purchasing equipment
 7    for the Altgeld Hall and Old Baptist Foundation  Building  at
 8    the Carbondale campus.

 9        Section  30.  The  amount of $814,444, or so much thereof
10    as may be necessary and remains unexpended at  the  close  of
11    business  on  June 30, 2003, from an appropriation heretofore
12    made for such purpose in Article 12, Section 30 of Public Act
13    92-538, is reappropriated  to  Southern  Illinois  University
14    from   the   Capital   Development  Fund  for  digitalization
15    infrastructure for WSIU-TV (Carbondale).

16        Section 35.  The amount of $814,444, or so  much  thereof
17    as  may  be  necessary and remains unexpended at the close of
18    business on June 30, 2003, from an  appropriation  heretofore
19    made for such purpose in Article 12, Section 35 of Public Act
20    92-538,  is  reappropriated  to  Southern Illinois University
21    from  the  Capital  Development   Fund   for   digitalization
22    infrastructure for WUSI-TV (Olney).

23        Section  40.  The  amount of $814,444, or so much thereof
24    as may be necessary and remains unexpended at  the  close  of
25    business  on June 30, 2003, from a reappropriation heretofore
26    made for such purpose in Article 12, Section 40 of Public Act
27    92-538, is reappropriated  to  Southern  Illinois  University
28    from   the   Capital   Development  Fund  for  digitalization
29    infrastructure for WSIU-TV (Carbondale).

30        Section 45.  The amount of $814,444, or so  much  thereof

 2    business on June 30, 2003, from a reappropriation  heretofore
 3    made for such purpose in Article 12, Section 45 of Public Act
 4    92-538,  is  reappropriated  to  Southern Illinois University
 5    from  the  Capital  Development   Fund   for   digitalization
 6    infrastructure for WUSI-TV (Olney).

 7        Section  50.  The  amount of $814,444, or so much thereof
 8    as may be necessary and remains unexpended at  the  close  of
 9    business  on June 30, 2003, from a reappropriation heretofore
10    made for such purpose in Article 12, Section 50 of Public Act
11    92-538, is reappropriated  to  Southern  Illinois  University
12    from   the   Capital   Development  Fund  for  digitalization
13    infrastructure for WSIU-TV (Carbondale.).

14        Section 55.  The amount of $814,444, or so  much  thereof
15    as  may  be  necessary and remains unexpended at the close of
16    business on June 30, 2003, from a reappropriation  heretofore
17    made for such purpose in Article 12, Section 55 of Public Act
18    92-538,  is  reappropriated  to  Southern Illinois University
19    from  the  Capital  Development   Fund   for   digitalization
20    infrastructure for WUSI-TV (Olney).

21        Section  99.   Effective  date.  This Act takes effect on
22    July 1, 2003.
