 1        AN ACT in relation to park districts.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The Park District Code is amended by changing
 5    Section 9-2 as follows:

 6        (70 ILCS 1205/9-2) (from Ch. 105, par. 9-2)
 7        Sec. 9-2. Each  Every  park  district  is  authorized  to
 8    acquire  by  purchase  or condemnation under power of eminent
 9    domain, or lease, real estate, in whole or  in  part,  either
10    within  or without the corporate limits of said park district
11    for  the  purpose  of  establishing  or  expanding  for  said
12    district an airport and landing field for  aircraft,  and  to
13    provide  hangars,  shops,  and  other necessary equipment and
14    appurtenances therefor usually incident to the  operation  of
15    an airport, and to maintain and operate the same.
