 1        AN ACT in relation to governmental ethics.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The State Gift Ban Act is amended by changing
 5    Section 10 as follows:

 6        (5 ILCS 425/10)
 7        Sec. 10.  Gift ban.  Except as otherwise provided in this
 8    Act, a no member,  officer,  employee,  or  judge  shall  not
 9    solicit  or  accept any gift from any prohibited source or in
10    violation  of  any  federal  or  State  statute,   rule,   or
11    regulation.   This ban applies to and includes spouses of and
12    immediate family living with the member,  officer,  employee,
13    or  judge.   A No prohibited source shall not offer or make a
14    gift that violates this Section.
