 1        AN ACT concerning government.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.  The  Intergovernmental  Cooperation  Act  is
 5    amended by changing Section 2 as follows:

 6        (5 ILCS 220/2) (from Ch. 127, par. 742)
 7        Sec. 2.  Definitions. For the purpose of this Act:
 8        (1)  The  term  "Public agency" means shall mean any unit
 9    of local government as defined in the  Illinois  Constitution
10    of  1970,  any  school district, any public community college
11    district,  any  public  building  commission,  the  State  of
12    Illinois, any agency of the State government or of the United
13    States, or of any other State, any political  subdivision  of
14    another  State,  and any combination of the above pursuant to
15    an intergovernmental agreement which includes provisions  for
16    a governing body of the agency created by the agreement.
17        For  the  purposes  of this Act, "public agency" includes
18    the Mid-America Intermodal Authority  Port  District  created
19    under the Mid-America Intermodal Authority Port District Act.
20        (2)  The  term  "State"  means  shall mean a state of the
21    United States.
