 1        AN ACT making appropriations.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4                              ARTICLE 1

 5        Section 5.  The sum of $24,180,100, or so much thereof as
 6    may  be  necessary,  is appropriated from the General Revenue
 7    Fund to the Board of Trustees of Governors  State  University
 8    to   meet   the  ordinary  and  contingent  expenses  of  the
 9    University,  including  payment  or  reimbursement   to   the
10    University  for  personal service and related costs, incurred
11    during the fiscal year ending June 30, 2004.

12        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act  takes  effect  on
13    July 1, 2003.
