 1        AN ACT making appropriations.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4                              ARTICLE 1

 5        Section 5.  The sum of $80,451,900, or so much thereof as
 6    may  be  necessary,  is appropriated from the General Revenue
 7    Fund to the Board of Trustees of  Illinois  State  University
 8    for any expenditures or purposes authorized by law, including
 9    payment  to  the University for personal services and related
10    costs incurred during the fiscal year ending  June  30,  2004
11    and for salaries accrued but unpaid to academic personnel for
12    personal   services   rendered   during   the  academic  year
13    2001-2002.

14        Section 10.  The sum of $30,000, or so  much  thereof  as
15    may  be necessary, is appropriated from the State College and
16    University  Trust  Fund  to  Illinois  State  University  for
17    student financial assistance.

18        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act  takes  effect  on
19    July 1, 2003.
