SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

20 ILCS 415/30 new

Amends the Personnel Code. Provides that all employees whose positions are included in a collective bargaining unit that includes employees subject to the Personnel Code are considered as subject to the Personnel Code for all purposes related to their collective bargaining agreement, unless the parties agree otherwise. Effective July 1, 2004.

AN ACT concerning State employees.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Personnel Code is amended by adding Section 30 as follows:

(20 ILCS 415/30 new)

Sec. 30. Collective bargaining agreements. Notwithstanding any other provisions of this Code or any other law, executive order, or administrative regulation, all employees whose positions are included in a collective bargaining unit that includes employees who are subject to this Code shall be considered as subject to this Code for all purposes related to their collective bargaining agreement, unless the parties to that agreement mutually agree otherwise.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2004.
