SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

605 ILCS 10/12.1 new

Amends the Toll Highway Act. Provides that the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority may not permit the erection of, on property owned, rented, leased, or controlled by the Authority, any billboard or other sign that contains an advertisement on behalf of any private person or entity.

AN ACT concerning transportation.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Toll Highway Act is amended by adding Section 12.1 as follows:

(605 ILCS 10/12.1 new)

Sec. 12.1. Erection of advertising signs prohibited. The Authority may not permit the erection of, on property owned, rented, leased, or controlled by the Authority, any billboard or other sign that contains an advertisement on behalf of any private person or entity.
