 1        AN ACT in relation to vehicles.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.  the  Illinois  Vehicle  Code  is  amended by
 5    adding Section 11-1427.5 as follows:

 6        (625 ILCS 5/11-1427.5 new)
 7        Sec. 11-1427.5.  Operation  of  all-terrain  vehicles  by
 8    persons  under  the  age  of 18. A person under the age of 18
 9    years may not operate an all-terrain vehicle unless he or she
10    is wearing a protective helmet and is under  the  supervision
11    of a licensed driver 21 years of age or older.
