1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of
3 Illinois were saddened to learn of the death of Albert Salvi
4 of Long Grove on Friday, March 21, 2003; and
5 WHEREAS, Mr. Salvi was born in Chicago to Alberto Salvi,
6 the world-renowned harpist, and Anna Marie Salvi; he was an
7 accomplished attorney and was the founder and senior partner
8 of Salvi, Salvi and Wifler; he graduated from the University
9 of Notre Dame and Northwestern Law School; and
10 WHEREAS, Mr. Salvi valiantly served his country in World
11 War II in the Pentagon Signal Corps; and
12 WHEREAS, Mr. Salvi was active both civically and
13 professionally; he had served as Lake County magistrate, Lake
14 Zurich police commissioner, president of the Lake County Bar
15 Association, and president of the Lake County Notre Dame
16 Club; he was named 1996 Italian Man of the Year by the Lake
17 County Notre Dame Club; he was a member of the Justinian
18 Society and served on the board of directors of the Catholic
19 Lawyers Guild; and
20 WHEREAS, Mr. Salvi will be remembered as a devoted
21 husband, loving father, wonderful grandfather, dear
22 brother-in-law, and fond uncle, and his passing has been
23 deeply felt by many, especially his wife, Marita (nee
24 Williams); his children, Patrick (Linda), Mary (Scott)
25 Kenitz, Catherine (Peter) Wifler, Michael (Debra), Albert
26 (Kathleen), Anne (Robert) Hansen, Thomas (Gwen), Joseph
27 (Bridget), and Barbara (Joseph) Wheeler; his 39
28 grandchildren; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be
29 it
30 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
31 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing

1 of Albert Salvi and extend our sincere condolences to his
2 family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
3 further
4 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5 presented to the family of Albert Salvi as a token of our
