 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Senate  of  the  State  of
 3    Illinois  were  saddened  to learn of death of Vicki Smith of
 4    Beach Park on May 31, 2003; and

 5        WHEREAS, Mrs.  Smith  was  born  on  March  21,  1946  in
 6    Waukegan and lived in the area her entire life; and

 7        WHEREAS,  Mrs.  Smith was a graduate of Waukegan Township
 8    High School; she worked at Cherry Electric and  attended  Our
 9    Lady  of  Humility Church in Zion; she was a strong supporter
10    of the Zion Ice Arena Foundation; and

11        WHEREAS, The passing of Vicki Smith will be  deeply  felt
12    by  many,  especially  her  husband  of  26 years, James; her
13    children, Dale (Lindy)  Egle  and  Hugo  (Kristi)  Egle;  her
14    stepdaughters,  Carolynne  (Larry) Misicka, Jeanne Dan, Donna
15    (Alan) Bartling, Barb (Lance) Hampton, and Beth Mater; her 24
16    grandchildren; her first husband, Dale  (Eileen)  Egle,  Sr.;
17    her  father,  Fred Cain; her brother, Danny Cain; and her two
18    sisters, Valerie Dubois and Jackie Vogt; and

19        WHEREAS, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her  mother,
20    Bernice Cain; and her brother, Fredic Cain; therefore, be it

21        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
22    ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of
23    Vicki Smith and extend our sincere condolences to her  family
24    and friends; and be it further

25        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
26    presented to the family of Vicki Smith as  an  expression  of
27    our deepest sympathy.
