1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of
3 Illinois were saddened to learn of the death of Edward
4 Terrell of East St. Louis on Tuesday, June 17, 2003; and
5 WHEREAS, Mr. Terrell was born on April 13, 1917 in East
6 St. Louis to James and Eva Terrell; and
7 WHEREAS, Mr. Terrell was co-owner of the Nash Funeral
8 Home along with his wife and sisters-in-law; and
9 WHEREAS, Prior to joining his wife in the family
10 business, for many years Mr. Terrell worked as an insurance
11 agent for Supreme Life; and
12 WHEREAS, The passing of Edward Terrell has been deeply
13 felt by many, especially his wife, M. Frances, nee Nash,
14 Terrell; his nieces, Marion G. Wayne, Claudia E. Nash-Thomas,
15 and Thelma Wayne; his nephews, Harold E. (Fannie) Wayne,
16 James E. (Carmen) Wayne Sr., Marvin D. (Sharon) Wayne, and
17 Reginald T. (Marita) Wayne; his brother-in-law, Daniel
18 Morris; his sisters-in-law, Claudia Nash Thomas and
19 Fredericka J. Nash; his cousin, Evelyn Whitfield; and his
20 many great-nieces, great-nephews, second cousins, and
21 friends; therefore, be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
23 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing
24 of Edward Terrell and extend to his friends and family our
25 heartfelt sympathy; and be it further
26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
27 presented to the family of Edward Terrell as an expression of
28 our sincere condolences.
