 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Senate  of  the  State  of
 3    Illinois  were  saddened to learn of the death of Mr. Bernard
 4    V. "Barney" McCauley on Saturday, July 12, 2003; and

 5        WHEREAS, Bernard V. McCauley was a retired lieutenant  of
 6    the Bensenville Fire Department who served his community from
 7    1971 to 1992; and

 8        WHEREAS, Bernard V. McCauley was also an executive member
 9    of  the Bensenville Firemen's Association, which raised money
10    for the department and its firefighters; and

11        WHEREAS, Bernard  V.  McCauley,  even  after  retirement,
12    continued to dedicate his time to the Fire Department and his
13    community,   including   giving   children   rides   on   the
14    Department's antique fire engine; and

15        WHEREAS,  Bernard  V.  McCauley's  passing will be deeply
16    felt by his family and friends, especially his wife,  Gloria;
17    his  daughters,  Ann Coan, Brigid Siebarth, and Beth Bautsch;
18    his sons, Leo, David, and Dennis; his sister,  Rosemary;  his
19    brother,   David;   his   16   grandchildren;   and   his  10
20    great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

21        RESOLVED, BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL
22    ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of
23    Bernard V. McCauley along with all who knew and loved him and
24    extend  our  sincere  condolences  to  his  family; and be it
25    further

26        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
27    presented  to  the  family  of  Bernard  V.  McCauley  as  an
28    expression of our deepest sympathy.
