 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Senate  of  the  State  of
 3    Illinois  learned  with regret of the passing of Albert Wykes
 4    of Plano on October 23, 2003; and

 5        WHEREAS, Albert Wykes was  born  on  April  30,  1919  in
 6    Little  Rock  Township,  the  son  of LaVerne "Jack" and Emma
 7    (Larsen) Wykes; he married Phyllis Jones on February 12, 1943
 8    in Seward Township; and

 9        WHEREAS, Mr. Wykes farmed all his life in Kendall County;
10    he was a member of the Plano United Methodist Church and  the
11    Kendall  County  Farm  Bureau;  he  served  on several school
12    boards including Plano School Board  for  22  years  and  the
13    Waubonsee Community College Board, and he served as a Kendall
14    County Republican Precinct Committeeman; and

15        WHEREAS, The passing of Albert Wykes has been deeply felt
16    by  all  who knew and loved him, especially his wife, Phyllis
17    Wykes; his children, Elaine (Mario) Espericueta, John (Chris)
18    Wykes,  Mary   Vernau,   and   Bill   (Bonnie)   Wykes;   his
19    grandchildren,  Maria (Luis) Ochoa, Jose (Rosie) Espericueta,
20    Clay (Amy) Wykes, John Wykes, Josh Wykes, Ben  (Lisa)  Wykes,
21    Heather  Vernau,  Nathan Vernau, Noah Vernau, Laurel Wheeler,
22    Hillary   Wykes,   and   Megan   Wykes;    and    his    five
23    great-grandchildren; he was preceded in death by his parents,
24    LaVerne and Emma Wykes; therefore, be it

25        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
26    ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along  with
27    all  who knew him, the death of Albert Wykes of Plano; and be
28    it further

29        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
30    presented  to  the family of Albert Wykes as an expression of
31    our sincerest condolences.
