SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with great sadness of the passing of Walter Benjamin
4 Kyle on December 10, 2003; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Walter Benjamin Kyle was born on January 13, 1925
6 in Pensacola, Florida; he was a faithful member of Mt. Olive
7 Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Mr. Kyle was the third child born to Alfred and
9 Elizabeth Rothchild Kyle; he attended Escambia County public
10 schools, where after graduation, he was drafted into the U.S.
11 Army; and
 
12     WHEREAS, Mr. Kyle received his bachelor's degree from
13 Alabama State College, his master's degree from the University
14 of Chicago, and his law degree from Howard University in
15 Washington, D.C.; he was a practicing Attorney in Jacksonville,
16 Florida, for a number of years and later served as Principal of
17 Booker T. Washington Adult Evening School and Wedgewood High
18 School in Pensacola, Florida; and
 
19     WHEREAS, Mr. Kyle was affiliated with the NAACP, Kappa
20 Alpha Phi Fraternity, and the Young Men's Christian
21 Association; and
 
22     WHEREAS, The passing of Walter Benjamin Kyle has been
23 deeply felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his sons,
24 Angelo Dante and Walter Benjamin; his daughter, Angela Kyle;
25 his grandchildren, Angelo Dante II, Dononique (Arbrae) Flores,
26 Jonathan Walter Anthony Kyle, and Ryan Kyle; his sister, Gloria
27 M. Kyle; his brothers, Samuel Kyle and Charles Kyle; and his
28 many nephews, nieces, cousins, and dear friends; therefore, be
29 it

1     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
2 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
3 all who knew him, the death of Walter Benjamin Kyle, and we
4 extend our deepest sympathy to his family; and be it further
 
5     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6 presented to the family of Walter Benjamin Kyle with our
7 sincerest condolences.
