SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate were saddened to learn of the death of Lucinda K. "Cindy" Davidson of Plano on January 18, 2004; and

WHEREAS, Lucinda "Cindy" Davidson was born on August 29, 1949 in Evanston, the daughter of Otto G. and Ethel Lenia Agnita (Anderson) Linke; she was employed for many years as both a Registered Radiological Technologist and a Registered Nurse; and

WHEREAS, In 1984, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb; she was united in marriage on January 31, 1988 in El Cajon, California, to then Yorkville mayor, Mr. Robert E. "H.D." Davidson, Jr. and they spent the next 15 happy years of their lives together; she later worked for a time at his business, H.D. Pump and Backhoe Service on Hydraulic Avenue in Yorkville; and

WHEREAS, The couple started a game bird farm outside Big Rock in the early 1990s and in the first year hatched some 2,000 pheasants; the farm now hatches some 500,000 birds a year; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Davidson had a great love of the outdoors and nature; she enjoyed spending time hunting with her best friend and companion, Ammo, her dog; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Davidson was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends, especially her sweetheart, best friend, and husband, Robert "H.D." Davidson; her daughters, Robin (Joel) Redman and Kelly (Jeff) Woods; her grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, and Jenna Redman and Alex and Jeff Woods; her sister, Sylvia Spain; her niece, Kristen Spain; as well as her many nieces and nephews, friends, and beloved pets; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her father, Otto Linke; her mother, Nita Skinner; and her step father, Clare Skinner; as well as many aunts, uncles, friends, and animal friends who will meet her at the rainbow bridge; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of Lucinda K. "Cindy" Davidson along with all who knew and loved her and extend our sincere condolences to her family and friends; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lucinda K. "Cindy" Davidson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
