SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of Edward W. Lisek on Wednesday, February 25, 2004; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Lisek honorably served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army; he was a member of Rhine Post #2729 VFW; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Lisek was a Stickney Township Official, a Central Stickney Sanitary District Trustee/Clerk, and a Democratic precinct captain for Central Stickney; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Edward W. Lisek has been deeply felt by many, especially his daughter, Janell (Celestin) Babulic; his son-in-law, Ernest Lohrer; his grandchildren, Ernest III and Amy Lohrer and Brian and Jessica Babulic; his siblings Ted (Lillian) and Eugene (Janet); his sister-in-law, Emily Lisek; and his brother-in-law, Vern Duha; he was an uncle of many; his daughter, Esther Lohrer, and his siblings, Jean Duncalf, John, Virginia Duha, and Lorraine Banasiak preceded him in death; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Edward W. Lisek, and we extend our sincere condolences to his friends, family, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Edward W. Lisek as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
