SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 were saddened to learn of the death of Jack A. Montague of
4 Pittsburg, who died as a result of an attack on a fuel convoy
5 in Fallujah, Iraq; and
 
6     WHEREAS, Jack Montague was born on September 12, 1951, to
7 Chester and Betty (Barnfield) Montague in Chicago; he married
8 Betsy Hanson and together they had shared 27 years; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Mr. Montague was an Army veteran of the Vietnam
10 War and previously worked on the railroad; he worked as a truck
11 driver for the past 22 years, and was most recently employed by
12 Halliburton; and
 
13     WHEREAS, His plan was to go to Iraq with KBR, a subsidiary
14 of Halliburton Co., the company contracted by the United States
15 to help rebuild the devastated country, and work for one year
16 and then retire; and
 
17     WHEREAS, Mr. Montague was a great friend to all who knew
18 him; he had an unforgettable personality and "he would always
19 put a smile on your face"; and
 
20     WHEREAS, The passing of Jack A. Montague will be deeply
21 felt by many, especially his wife, Betsy; his daughter,
22 Jacquelyne; his mother, Betty Montague; his mother-in-law,
23 Claudia Hanson; his three brothers, John Montague, David
24 Montague, and Rusty Montague; and his two sisters, Dorothy
25 Kettell and Jeanie Montague; and
 
26     WHEREAS, His father preceded him in death; therefore, be it
 
27     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
28 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of

1 Jack A. Montague along with all who knew and loved him and
2 extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends; and
3 be it further
 
4     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5 presented to the family of Jack A. Montague as an expression of
6 our deepest sympathy.
