SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 were saddened to learn of the death of Nancy Graham of Godfrey
4 on April 30, 2004; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Nancy Graham was born July 1, 1935, in Alton to
6 William T. and Monica M. (Dunn) Harlow; and
 
7     WHEREAS, She married Donald J. Graham on May 14, 1955, at
8 St. Ambrose Church; he preceded her in death; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Mrs. Graham retired from the Alton School District
10 in the spring of 2001; before her retirement, she was employed
11 at Lewis and Clark Elementary as the administrative assistant;
12 in that capacity, she received awards for extraordinary efforts
13 and dedication to excellence from the Alton School District for
14 her many years of service; and
 
15     WHEREAS, Mrs. Graham was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic
16 Church in Godfrey and active with the Alton-Wood River
17 Sportsman Club, where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary;
18 she served as a Democratic precinct committeewoman and was
19 active with the Alton High School class of 1953 reunion
20 committee and the Godfrey Woman's Club; and
 
21     WHEREAS, The passing of Nancy Graham will be deeply felt by
22 many, especially her four children and their families, Jill
23 Miller, Jack and Julie Graham, Stan and Jane Graham, and Gina
24 and Craig Fry; her seven grandchildren and three
25 great-grandchildren, Monica and Rob Yeargain and their
26 children, Samantha and Miles, Jamie and Kyle Anderson, Stela
27 Iantcheva, Melissa Graham and her daughter, Jazmyn, Joseph
28 Graham, Andrew Fry, and Tanner Fry; her sister, Barbara Owens,
29 and her husband, Jack; and her brother, Robert Harlow, and his
30 wife, Bonnie; and

1     WHEREAS, In addition to her husband, she was preceded in
2 death by her parents; a nephew, Devin Graham; and a
3 sister-in-law, Carol Graham; therefore, be it
 
4     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
5 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of
6 Nancy Graham along with all who knew and loved her and extend
7 our sincere condolences to her family and friends; and be it
8 further
 
9     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10 presented to the family of Nancy Graham as an expression of our
11 deepest sympathy.
