SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, It is with sadness that the members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned of the death of Maria T. Olsen, nee Vallera, of Oak Lawn on Wednesday, June 16, 2004; and

WHEREAS, Maria T. Vallera was born on January 5, 1932 in Evergreen Park; she was the owner of the Gateway Motel in Oak Lawn; she married Robert F. Olsen; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Maria T. Olsen has been deeply felt by many, especially her husband, Robert F. Olsen; her children, Karen (Michael) Hullinger, Robert M. (Rita), John (Gail), and William (Kelly); and her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kevin, Kyle, Robert Jr., Thomas, Brian, and Matthew; she was the devoted daughter and friend of Gerd Vallera and the dear sister of the late Gerald Vallera; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Maria T. Olsen, and we extend our deepest sympathy to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Maria T. Olsen as an expression of our sincerest condolences.
