SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, We have learned with sadness that Betty Lou Bacon, of Peoria, Illinois, passed away on October 4, 2004, at the age of 76; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Bacon was born in Newton, Iowa on February 17, 1928, the daughter of Walter J. and Edith Townsend Molleck; and

WHEREAS, on October 16, 1949, Betty Lou was married to Robert W. Bacon, and their union lasted nearly 50 years before Robert's death in February 1996; she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jeanette McDonald; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Bacon was a loving mother and grandmother and an upstanding citizen of this State; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Bacon's passing has been deeply felt by many, especially her sons, Robert Jr. (Rose) Bacon, and Rick (Kim) Bacon; her two brothers, Robert (Eloise) Molleck of Canton and David Molleck of Prescott, Arizona; her one sister, Catherine Molleck of Oak Harbor, Washington; and her four grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we express our deep sorrow at the passing of Betty Lou Bacon, that we offer our heartfelt sympathy to her family, and that we join her family and friends in honoring her memory; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be delivered to the family of Betty Lou Bacon with our sincere condolences.
