SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to express their sincere condolences to the family of Mia M. Ware, who passed away on August 21, 2004; and

WHEREAS, Mia Ware was born on November 11, 1967, in Jacksonville, to Danny and Karla Beddingfield Farmer; she married William Bradley "Brad" Ware in 1995; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Ware graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1985; she earned a Bachelor of Arts in history at Illinois State University in 1990, where she was a Sigma Phi Alpha Little Sister; and

WHEREAS, Mia Ware managed a photo lab at Prestige Video; she was a substitute teacher for District 117, Winchester School District, and the Illinois School for the Visually Impaired; additionally, she worked as a Longaberger sales consultant; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Ware was a devoted member of Grace United Methodist Church; she served on the Fox Trust Fund Committee and was the chairperson for the Vacation Bible School; and

WHEREAS, Mia Ware was also a conscientious and active member of the Jacksonville community; she was a member of the Jacksonville Assembly 19 Order of the Rainbow, serving as a worthy advisor in 1981 and a junior member of the state executive committee; she served as the secretary and on the board of directors for the Pilot Club; she was an active member of the Arcadia Women's Club, the Passavant Hospital Auxiliary, the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary Board, and the American Cancer Society Western Division Regional Board; and she was an active participant with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, serving on the Illinois Task Force and as the honorary chairperson for the past 3 years; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Mia Ware will be felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her husband, William Bradley Ware; her son, Jayden Bradley Ware; her mother Karla (husband, Ron) Henderson; her father, Danny (wife, Lucille) Farmer; her half-brother Chad (wife, Stacey) Bock; her 2 half-sisters, Brandye Farmer (husband, Ron) Hendrickson and Tiffany Farmer; and her step-grandmother, Blanche Henderson; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with all who knew and loved her, the death of Mia M. Ware; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution by presented to the family of Mia M. Ware.
