 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Senate  of  the  State  of
 3    Illinois  were  saddened  to  learn  of  the death of Carolyn
 4    Spencer of Plainfield on Monday, February 24, 2003; and

 5        WHEREAS, Ms. Spencer was born in Richton Park to  LaVerne
 6    and  Felix  Stawicki; she was a graduate of Northern Illinois
 7    University and DePaul University; she held a Master's  Degree
 8    in taxation and a CPA degree; and

 9        WHEREAS,  Ms.  Spencer  owned  and  operated the Carol L.
10    Spencer CPA firm in Plainfield for the last 12 years; she was
11    a resident of the Plainfield area for the past 28 years; and

12        WHEREAS, The passing of Ms. Spencer has been deeply  felt
13    by  many,  especially her daughter, Janet (Matthew) Peterson;
14    her two granddaughters, Elissa and Sara; her parents, LaVerne
15    and Felix Stawicki; her brother, Richard (Beverly)  Stawicki;
16    her  three  nieces  and  one nephew; her six grand-nieces and
17    grand-nephews; and her numerous loving friends; therefore, be
18    it

19        RESOLVED, BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL
20    ASSEMBLY  OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing
21    of Carolyn Spencer and extend our  sincerest  condolences  to
22    her  family,  friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be
23    it further

24        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
25    presented  to  the  family  of Carolyn Spencer along with our
26    deepest sympathy.
