 1        AN ACT making appropriations, which may be referred to as
 2    the County Drug Court Pilot Program Act.

 3        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:

 5        Section  5.  The amount of $1,800,000, or so much of that
 6    amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the  General
 7    Revenue  Fund  to the Department of Corrections for grants to
 8    counties for screenings and assessments under  a  drug  court
 9    program  adopted  by  a judicial circuit in that county under
10    the Drug Court Treatment Act. The moneys shall be distributed
11    by the Department of Corrections as follows:
12        Kane County.................................     $404,000
13        Kendall County..............................      $54,000
14        LaSalle County..............................     $111,000
15        2 other counties outside of
16          a county with 3,000,000 or more
17          inhabitants, at the discretion
18          of the Director of Corrections............   $1,231,000

19        Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on July
20    1, 2003.
