SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Master Sergeant Michael G. Fenner
4USAF, Retired of East Moline, who passed away on September 5,
52021; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Mike Fenner was born to Jack and Shirley "Pat"
7(Heiser) Fenner in Davenport, Iowa on May 26, 1951; he
8received his associate's degree during his time of service; he
9married Linda Grothusen on June 24, 1972; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Mike Fenner served in the U.S. Air Force; he
11retired as a highly decorated master sergeant in 1992, after
1221 years of service; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Mike Fenner was a member of St. Anne Catholic
14Church in East Moline; he was also a member of the Knights of
15Columbus, the American Legion, and the Air Force Sergeants
16Association; he enjoyed cooking and had recently focused on
17gardening; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Mike Fenner was preceded in death by his parents
19and brother-in-law, Raymond Bustos; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Mike Fenner is survived by his wife, Linda; his

1sons, Jason (Julee Smith) Fenner, Justin (Valery) Fenner, and
2Jeffery (Angela) Fenner; his grandchildren, Severin, Jocelyn,
3and Alexandra; and his siblings, Jacklyn Bustos and Robert
4(Karen) Fenner; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Master Sergeant Michael G. Fenner USAF, Retired and extend our
8sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew
9and loved him; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Mike Fenner as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
