SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Dean O. Miller of Milan, who passed away on January 15, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Dean Miller was born to Orville and Lillis (Muhleman) Miller in Rock Island on July 17, 1946; he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era; and

WHEREAS, Dean Miller was the owner and operator of Miller Auto Body in Reynolds; and

WHEREAS, Dean Miller was a true handyman and a giving person who never met a stranger; he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, dancing, and playing pool and computer games; and

WHEREAS, Dean Miller was preceded in death by his parents; his sons, William Miller and Bradly Miller; his brother, Jack Miller; and his sister, Verlee Jones; and

WHEREAS, Dean Miller is survived by his soulmate and special love, Roxie Lucas; his daughter, Katrina Weinert (Duane Moore); his stepsons, Caleb Lucas and Zachary (Lisa) Lucas; his grandchildren, Nicole, Tara, and Mitchell; his six great-grandchildren; and several special friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Dean O. Miller and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Dean Miller as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
