SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

15 ILCS 20/50-37 new

Amends the State Budget Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that any amendment to a budget implementation bill or to an omnibus appropriations bill must be reported to the applicable appropriations committee of each chamber of the General Assembly at least 2 business days before being heard in any committee. Effective immediately.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning State government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The State Budget Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding Section 50-37 as follows:

(15 ILCS 20/50-37 new)

Sec. 50-37. Additions to budget implementation bill or omnibus bill. Any amendment to a budget implementation bill or to an omnibus appropriations bill must be reported to the applicable appropriations committee of each chamber of the General Assembly at least 2 business days before being heard in any committee.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
