| 1 | | HOUSE RESOLUTION | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Sharon | 4 | | Shavaughn Marsh; and | 5 | | WHEREAS, Sharon Marsh was born to Olivia Consuela and | 6 | | Vaughn Marsh in Chicago on August 4, 1964; she attended | 7 | | Wadsworth Elementary School and Hyde Park Academy; she married | 8 | | Daryl A. Monson in January 1998, and they later divorced in | 9 | | 2001; and | 10 | | WHEREAS, Sharon Marsh worked in retail in downtown Chicago | 11 | | and served Cook County, the City of Chicago, the Cook County | 12 | | Sheriff's Office, the 8th Ward of Chicago, and the Chicago | 13 | | City Council as a receptionist; and | 14 | | WHEREAS, Sharon Marsh attended Trinity United Church of | 15 | | Christ, where she was baptized on April 1, 2001; she | 16 | | volunteered for the 8th Ward of Chicago and was a member of the | 17 | | 8th Ward Regular Democratic Organization Women's Auxiliary; | 18 | | she was a previous member of the Young Democrats; and | 19 | | WHEREAS, Sharon Marsh was funny, kind, witty, and loyal, | 20 | | and she touched many lives with her laid-back and sweet | 21 | | personality; and |

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Sharon Marsh was preceded in death by her mother | 2 | | and her brother, Ronald Burkhalte; and | 3 | | WHEREAS, Sharon Marsh is survived by her daughters, | 4 | | Shavaughn Patrice and Darnisha Ashley; her granddaughters, | 5 | | Jordan and London; her grandson, Malcolm; her sisters, Diane, | 6 | | Pamela, Tracey, and Denean; her aunt and uncle; and a host of | 7 | | cousins, nieces, nephews, other family members, close friends, | 8 | | and acquaintances; therefore, be it | 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | 10 | | HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 11 | | we mourn the passing of Sharon Shavaughn Marsh and extend our | 12 | | sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew | 13 | | and loved her; and be it further | 14 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 15 | | presented to the family of Sharon Marsh as an expression of our | 16 | | deepest sympathy. |
