HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Deputy
4Christina M. "Beana" Musil, who was killed in the line of duty
5on March 29, 2024; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Deputy Musil was born to Philip and Diane
7Caporaso on August 17, 1988, a beacon of joy and resilience;
8and
 
9    WHEREAS, Deputy Musil dedicated her time to bettering the
10communities of Dekalb County as a deputy of the Dekalb County
11Sheriff's Office; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Deputy Musil was a passionate fan of the New York
13Yankees and the New Jersey Devils, but her truest enthusiasm
14as a fan was reserved for watching her children compete in
15their youth sport organizations; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Deputy Musil served in the U.S. Army National
17Guard, which included a tour of duty in Afghanistan from 2008
18to 2009; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Deputy Musil will be remembered as an incredible
20woman with a magnetic personality, a ready laugh, and a

1selfless spirit; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Deputy Musil is survived by her children, Zoe,
3Genevieve, and Cillin; her parents; her siblings, Bridgette
4Caporaso and Anthony Caporaso; and additional family members
5and friends; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
7HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
8we mourn the passing of Deputy Christina M. "Beana" Musil and
9extend our sincere condolences to her family, the Dekalb
10County Sheriff's Office, and all those who knew and loved her;
11and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
13presented to the Dekalb County Sheriff's Office and her family
14as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
