Amends the Department of Public Health Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning poison resource centers.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning State government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Department of Public Health Act is amended by changing Section 8 as follows:

(20 ILCS 2305/8) (from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 22.06)

Sec. 8. From funds appropriated to it for this purpose, the the Department of Public Health shall annually make grants to regional poison resource centers to provide fast, accurate information for poison prevention, detection, surveillance, and treatment. The Department of Public Health shall develop standards to delineate the responsibilities of poison resource centers receiving funds under this Section.
