10 ILCS 5/29C-5   from Ch. 46, par. 29C-5;
  formerly Ch. 46, par. 811

    Amends the Election Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the division of the State into legislative districts.

1     AN ACT concerning elections.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Election Code is amended by changing Section
5 29C-5 as follows:
 
6     (10 ILCS 5/29C-5)  (from Ch. 46, par. 29C-5; formerly Ch.
7       46, par. 811)
8     Sec. 29C-5. Three Groups of Legislative Districts. The The
9 59 legislative districts of this State are divided into 3
10 groups for the purpose of establishing the terms of Senators
11 elected from each group. The districts in each group are
12 distributed substantially equally over the State. The 3 groups
13 shall consist of 20, 20 and 19 legislative districts,
14 respectively, with each group having as its first district
15 number, one of the numbers 1, 2 or 3, and shall be comprised of
16 other district numbers, as follows:
