1     AN ACT concerning civil law.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Code of Civil Procedure is amended by adding
5 Section 7-103.113 as follows:
 
6     (735 ILCS 5/7-103.113 new)
7     Sec. 7-103.113. Quick-take; City of Mount Vernon.
8 Quick-take proceedings under Section 7-103 may be used for a
9 period of 12 months after the effective date of this amendatory
10 Act of the 94th General Assembly by the City of Mount Vernon
11 for roadway extension purposes for acquisition of the property
12 described in Parcel 4, Parcel 10, and Parcel 12, and for the
13 acquisition of an easement in the property described as Parcel
14 12TE, each described as follows:
 
15     PARCEL 4
 
16     A part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 36, Township 2
17     South, Range 2 East of the Third Principal Meridian,
18     Jefferson County, Illinois, more particularly described as
19     follows:
 
20     Commencing at the northwest corner of Lot 5 in Parkway
21     Pointe Subdivision, thence South 00 degrees 44 minutes 12
22     seconds West along the west line of Lot 5, a distance of
23     13.84 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence South 03
24     degrees 01 minutes 34 seconds East, 323.26 feet; thence
25     South 12 degrees 21 minutes 36 seconds East, 177.55 feet;
26     thence South 42 degrees 33 minutes 50 seconds East, 65.08

14     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
