SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

705 ILCS 410/15
730 ILCS 166/15

Amends the Drug Court Treatment Act and the Juvenile Drug Court Treatment Act. Requires (instead of permits) the Chief Judge of each judicial circuit to establish a drug court program and a drug court program for minors.

AN ACT concerning courts.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Juvenile Drug Court Treatment Act is amended by changing Section 15 as follows:

Sec. 15. Authorization. The Chief Judge of each judicial circuit shall may establish a drug court program for minors including the format under which it operates under this Act.
