SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

New Act

Creates the Mold Remediation Registration Act. Contains a short title provision. Contains a provision concerning the legislative purpose. Effective January 1, 2006.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning public safety.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the Mold Remediation Registration Act.

Section 5. Legislative purpose. The General Assembly finds it necessary in the interest of the public safety and welfare, in order to prevent damage to the real and personal property of the residents of this State and to avert economic injury to the residents of this State, to regulate individuals and companies that hold themselves out to the public as qualified to perform mold-related activities.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January 1, 2006.
