SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

10 ILCS 5/13-20 new
10 ILCS 5/14-10 new

Amends the Election Code. Requires that each election authority, at least 2 weeks before an election, evaluate the number of election judges committed to work on election day and transmit the evaluation to the State Board of Elections.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning elections.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Election Code is amended by adding Sections 13-20 and 14-10 as follows:

(10 ILCS 5/13-20 new)

Sec. 13-20. Report to State Board. At least 2 weeks before the date of any election, each election authority shall evaluate the number of election judges committed to work the day of the election in that election jurisdiction and shall transmit that evaluation to the State Board of Elections.

(10 ILCS 5/14-10 new)

Sec. 14-10. Report to State Board. At least 2 weeks before the date of any election, each election authority shall evaluate the number of election judges committed to work the day of the election in that election jurisdiction and shall transmit that evaluation to the State Board of Elections.
