SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

30 ILCS 605/8.3 new

Amends the State Property Control Act. Provides that all funds received from the sale of any surplus real property (land or building) previously used as a mental health center must be deposited into the Mental Health Fund. Effective immediately.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The State Property Control Act is amended by adding Section 8.3 as follows:

(30 ILCS 605/8.3 new)

Sec. 8.3. Sale of State mental health center. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act or any other law to the contrary, all moneys received from the sale of all or part of any State owned land, building, or both that has been used as a State mental health center and that has been determined to be surplus real property must be deposited into the Mental Health Fund.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
