HOUSE RESOLUTION 1188

 
2     WHEREAS, Members of the House of Representatives are aware
3 of the illegal sale of false forms of identification, such as
4 fraudulent driver's licenses, green cards, State
5 identification cards, social security cards, and matricula
6 cards; and
 
7     WHEREAS, These illegal sales cause major problems for
8 businesses in this State, as well as for federal, State, and
9 local governmental agencies; therefore, be it
 
10     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
11 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
12 the False Identification Task Force is created, to consist of
13 10 members appointed as follows: one member of the House of
14 Representatives, to serve as chairperson, appointed by the
15 Speaker of the House of Representatives; one member of the
16 House of Representatives appointed by the House Minority
17 leader; and 8 additional members, of whom one member is to be
18 appointed by each of the following officials: the Governor; the
19 Secretary of State; the Attorney General; the State's Attorney
20 of Cook County; the Director of the U.S. Office of Citizenship
21 and Immigration Services; the U.S. Secretary of Homeland
22 Security; the Commissioner of the Chicago Police Department;
23 and the Director of the Illinois State Police; and be it
24 further
 
25     RESOLVED, That the Task Force shall study the problem of
26 the illegal sale of false forms of identification and shall
27 determine the most effective methods for combating these
28 illegal sales; and be it further
 
29     RESOLVED, That the Illinois State Police shall provide
30 staff and administrative support services to the Task Force;
31 and be it further

1     RESOLVED, That the Task Force shall report its findings and
2 recommendations to the House of Representatives no later than
3 December 31, 2006; and be it further
 
4     RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be delivered to
5 the following officials: the Governor; the Secretary of State;
6 the Attorney General; the State's Attorney of Cook County; the
7 Director of the U.S. Office of Citizenship and Immigration
8 Services; the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security; the
9 Commissioner of the Chicago Police Department; and the Director
10 of the Illinois State Police.
