| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The McHenry County Department of Health was |
| 3 |
| created by a McHenry County Board Resolution on April 12, 1966; |
| 4 |
| the McHenry County Board immediately appointed a Board of |
| 5 |
| Health that met for the first time on April 27, 1966; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Dr. Santo L. Ruggero, M.D., was an appointed |
| 7 |
| member of the original Board of Health and has faithfully |
| 8 |
| served on the Board for 40 consecutive years; this length of |
| 9 |
| public service is exemplary and was done in concert with an |
| 10 |
| active medical practice, raising a family with his wife Mary, |
| 11 |
| and 27 years on the Harrison School Board; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, His knowledge of the health needs of McHenry |
| 13 |
| County residents and public health expertise have been |
| 14 |
| instrumental in the development of the comprehensive programs |
| 15 |
| offered by the Department of Health; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, His foresight in 1966 and continued support over |
| 17 |
| the ensuing years have allowed the Health Department to grow |
| 18 |
| and provide a multitude of comprehensive services that have |
| 19 |
| made McHenry County a healthier and more desirable place to |
| 20 |
| live; and
|
| 21 |
| WHEREAS, Dr. Ruggero will resign from the Board of Health |
| 22 |
| on May 1, 2006; therefore, be it
|
| 23 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 24 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 25 |
| we recognize Dr. Santo L. Ruggero, M.D., for 40 years of |
| 26 |
| service on the McHenry County Board of Health; and be it |
| 27 |
| further
|

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 29 |
| presented to Dr. Ruggero as an expression of our esteem and |
