| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, Women's Economic Power Day will be held on |
| 3 |
| Saturday, May 20, 2006 in Chicago; and
|
| 4 |
| WHEREAS, Chicago will be the third city to host a Women's |
| 5 |
| Economic Power Day as part of the eight-city 2006 National |
| 6 |
| Economic Power tour; other U.S. cities hosting the tour include |
| 7 |
| Boston, Minneapolis, Seattle, New York, Detroit, San |
| 8 |
| Francisco, and Denver; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Women's Economic Power Day is a full day tailored |
| 10 |
| to the needs of Chicago women; it will deliver measurable |
| 11 |
| skills and services that enable attendees to create and |
| 12 |
| maximize their economic power; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, Women's Economic Power Day is the brainchild of |
| 14 |
| Chicago native Ann Tardy, President of LifeMoxie!; she |
| 15 |
| identified the need of many women to gain critical financial |
| 16 |
| and economic skills; LifeMoxie! is a consulting firm impacting |
| 17 |
| the bottom line of thousands of professional women, |
| 18 |
| corporations, and Chicago communities; therefore, be it
|
| 19 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 20 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 21 |
| we recognize Women's Economic Power Day 2006, and we wish the |
| 22 |
| attendees well; and be it further
|

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 24 |
| presented to Ann Tardy as an expression of our best wishes for |
| 25 |
| the success of Women's Economic Power Day 2006.
